i made this card for a shoebox swap at the Portland regionals.  i used the Stampin' Up designer paper in the mini, red, marina mist card stock.  i used 3/8" red grosgrain ribbon, two SU punches and 2 nesties.  i used water color paper, and reinkers.   i also used crystal effects, red fine glitter, pearl accessories and i think that is it.  Thanks for looking and i appreciate any remarks.

i just got "For all you do" stamp set from Stampin' Up! today.  i had to try it out.  i used Cherry Cobbler(don't you just love the sound of that?), black, white and Daffodil delight card stock and markers in the same colors plus garden green and old olive.  i used the satin Daf. Delight ribbon and the garden green buttons from the regal button collection.  i used the lacy border punch, dimensionals and glue dots.  i like the way it turned out.  Leave a comment if you visit, please.  i love knowing someone looked!

Happy Thanksgiving box of chocolates

i tweeked the happy holidays box i did a couple years ago and made a happy Thanksgiving box with 3 rows.  12 long wouldn't work and that's how long Thanksgiving is.  So i made it wider.  The green doesn't show well but it really does say Happy Thanks giving.  i used some old d/p for the wrap around the candy and not sure i like it so much but you could use any you have.  The dimensions of the cut box are 9 1/2  by 7 1/2 inches.  i scored at 1/4, 1 and 1 3/4 on all sides and cut all the corners except the rectangle furthest in.  The sleeve is 6 3/8 by 10 1/2.  i scored it 3, 3 3/4, 8 and 8 3/4.  i folded on the score lines and used sticky strip to keep the sides down.  i used the wide Stampin Up ribbon in old olive and the pumpkin pie narrow taffeta ribbon and a vintage tag.  For the letters i adhered the new sticky sheets to different card stock and cut them with the Naturally Serif letter sizzlits decorative strip.  For the pumpkins and leaves i stamped Autumn Harvest stamp set and cut them out and the leaves too.  i colored with crayons first, but it didn't seem bright enough so i markered them with pumpkin pie, elegant eggplant, old olive, curry and red.  Nice gift for teachers or for the hostess at Thanksgiving.
